UPDATE ON POWER SITUATION IN MAGBORO/IBAFO/MOWE
Magboro, for now, is fed by an ancient lengthy power line from Abeokuta Transmission Station. Due to much urban expansion and developments over the years, the line got overloaded. This made the line's power qualities to dwindle as it could not match up with the expansion rate. The customers at the tail end of the line often have complaints.
To bring this handicap to an end, a new line has been constructed from a nearby Oke Aro Transmission Power Station to Magboro / Ibafo / Mowe. However, this project is supervised by the FGN agency, Niger Delta Power Holding Company ( NDPHC ) under NIPP scheme. The completed line failed the energising test conducted by another FGN agency, NEMSA hence the NIPP contractor handling the project has been carrying out necessary remedial measures and he is closely monitored by many CDA representatives.
IBEDC on her part is doing her best to ensure that the project is properly completed to make the customers smile before the year runs out.
